Abstract: Artist’s Statement

I have long held a passion for abstract painting. Abstract art does not depict objects realistically, as in the natural world, but uses colour and form in a non-representational way. Viewers find a personal path through the paintings, making a personal connection that they alone feel.

In my abstract work, I explore textural force by employing alternate materials in sculptural form and manipulating layered pigments is an extension of what he loves to create with colour and texture with his landscapes.
